The athletes of Close Combat System Academy concluded their participation in the WBC Amazing MuayThai World Festival 2026, held in Bangkok, Thailand, with an outstanding achievement that adds to Libya’s growing presence on the international Muay Thai stage. The championship brought together more than 1,000 athletes from countries around the world.
Throughout the tournament, the academy’s athletes delivered exceptional performances, demonstrating the discipline, dedication, and competitive spirit developed through months of intensive preparation. Their participation reflected the academy’s commitment to developing athletes capable of competing at the highest international level while proudly representing Libya.
Among the academy’s standout performers was Abdulrahman Abdulsalam Aljahani, who opened his campaign with a well-deserved victory over his opponent from Uzbekistan before advancing to the semi-finals, ultimately securing the bronze medal in the Youth (12–13 years), Male, Advanced, Under 46 kg category.
Mohammed Alwashahi also earned a bronze medal after delivering a strong and commendable performance in the Youth (12–13 years), Male, Advanced, Under 67 kg category. Competing in his first international championship, he demonstrated remarkable determination and promising potential throughout the tournament.
In another outstanding achievement, Mohammed Gharsullah advanced to the championship final following a series of impressive victories, including a semi-final win over his Canadian opponent. He concluded the tournament by earning the silver medal in the Youth (16–17 years), Male, Advanced, Under 58.967 kg category.
With these results, Close Combat System Academy concluded its participation with a total of three world medals—one silver and two bronze—an accomplishment that reflects the academy’s high standards of training and preparation while reinforcing its growing reputation on the international Muay Thai stage.
